NCT ID NCT03860168

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a program called PICU Up! that helps critically ill children in the intensive care unit start moving earlier than usual. The program combines sleep support, delirium prevention, and less sedation to encourage safe mobility. Researchers will see if this approach reduces time on breathing machines and shortens hospital stays. About 2,500 children across multiple PICUs will take part.
