NCT ID NCT03860168
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests a program called PICU Up! that helps critically ill children start moving early during their stay in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). The program combines sleep support, delirium prevention, and less sedation to encourage safe mobility. Researchers want to see if this approach reduces time on breathing machines and shortens hospital stays. About 2,500 children across multiple PICUs will take part.
