Fatigue in ITP: is poor fitness the hidden cause?

NCT ID NCT07310342

First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether children, teens, and young adults (ages 8–25) with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) have lower aerobic fitness than healthy peers. Researchers will measure oxygen use during exercise and link it to fatigue and quality of life. The goal is to understand if a vicious cycle of deconditioning exists, which could lead to future exercise programs.
