What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
behavioral intervention: health coach sessions, SMS texts, and Fitbit activity tracker
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show a simple way to help pregnant women be more active, potentially reducing risks like high blood pressure and preterm birth.
What could go wrong
This is a small early study with only 60 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The intervention relies on motivation and may not work for all women.
