NCT ID NCT02299596
First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether doing special exercises before colorectal cancer surgery helps patients recover better afterward. Over 700 adults scheduled for surgery were split into two groups: one received instructions for pre-surgery training (prehabilitation), and the other got standard care. The main goal was to see if the exercise group had faster physical recovery, with researchers also tracking psychological recovery, complications, and quality of life.
