New dialysis fluid aims to prevent dangerous mineral loss in ICU patients
NCT ID NCT07550894
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a new pre-mixed fluid that contains phosphate for ICU patients needing continuous kidney dialysis (CRRT). Normally, this treatment can wash out phosphate, causing muscle weakness and breathing problems. The trial will compare the new fluid to the standard one in 220 adults across 15 hospitals to see if it keeps phosphate levels healthy and is safe.
