Can a weekly phone call ease the mental burden of epilepsy?
NCT ID NCT05082181
Summary
This study is testing two different 8-week phone support programs to help people with epilepsy who are also experiencing depression. Researchers will compare a depression self-management program (UPLIFT) against general support groups (BOOST), both delivered in weekly one-hour calls with about 6 participants. The main goal is to see which approach better reduces depressive symptoms and improves quality of life over a year, while also tracking any changes in seizure frequency.
