NCT ID NCT01977053
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether two nurse phone calls during the first three cycles of chemotherapy could improve the emotional state and quality of life of patients with breast, colon, or rectal cancer. 274 patients were randomly assigned to receive either standard care or standard care plus the phone calls. The goal was to see if the calls reduced anxiety, depression, and other mood problems, and helped manage side effects.
