First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested a nurse-led phone program to help 500 recent stroke patients in Ghana control their blood pressure. High blood pressure is a major risk factor for another stroke. The program used mobile health technology and regular nurse calls to support patients in managing their condition. The goal was to see if this approach could improve blood pressure control and be adopted in low-resource settings.
