Researchers test new tool to predict sepsis outcomes in kids
NCT ID NCT06539884
Summary
This study aimed to see if a new scoring tool called the Phoenix Score works as well as older tools for predicting how children with sepsis will fare. Researchers observed 25 children suspected of having sepsis, comparing the Phoenix Score to other established scoring systems. The study did not change any patient treatments; it only collected data to see which tool best predicted hospital stay length and risk of death.
