First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study was designed to find better ways to diagnose when stomach contents flow back into the throat (pharyngeal reflux) in people with GERD. Researchers planned to measure muscle function in the throat and test if pressing on the voice box could stop reflux. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
