Heart hole implant trial aims to stop second strokes

Summary
This study compares a new heart implant device to two existing devices for closing a small hole in the heart called a PFO. The goal is to see if the new device works as well at closing the hole and preventing future strokes in people who've already had one unexplained stroke. Researchers will follow 450 participants to measure how effectively each device seals the hole and prevents additional strokes.
