New scan could spot failing cancer drugs months earlier

NCT ID NCT07130344

Summary

This study aims to determine if PET scans can identify ineffective cancer treatment earlier than standard CT scans. Researchers will compare PET scans against CT scans in 262 patients with metastatic breast cancer receiving T-DXd therapy. The goal is to help patients avoid continuing expensive treatments that aren't working and causing side effects.
