New scan could give early clues for rare lung disease treatment

NCT ID NCT05467397

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of PET scan can show early signs that a drug called rapamycin is working in patients with a rare lung disease called LAM. Researchers want to see if the scan can detect changes in tumor metabolism before other tests show improvement. A small group of adult women with LAM will receive 1-2 of these scans over several months to gather initial data.
