Doctors test new scan to sharpen cervical cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT03315351
Summary
This study tested whether it is practical to use a PET scan on the first day of a specific radiation treatment (brachytherapy) for cervical cancer. It involved 14 patients who had already completed initial chemotherapy and radiation. The main goal was to see if the scan could be done and used to help plan the radiation treatment more precisely.
