New scan may spot cancer spread better in cervical cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06083103

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a newer type of scan, called PET/MRI, is better than the standard PET/CT scan at finding cancer that has spread to lymph nodes in people with cervical cancer. About 50 adults with stage IB2 to IVA cervical cancer will get both scans before treatment. The goal is to see which scan is more accurate, which could help doctors plan better treatment.
