New scan aims to see inside chronic pain
NCT ID NCT06171659
Summary
This study is testing whether a combined PET/MRI scan can accurately locate the source of chronic pain in people who have had joint surgery. Researchers will compare scans from 128 people with persistent pain to scans from people without pain to see if areas of inflammation light up on the scan where the pain is felt. The goal is to improve diagnosis so doctors can target treatments more effectively.
