New imaging study seeks better way to predict stroke in High-Risk patients

Summary

This study uses special PET/MR scans to measure blood flow and sugar use in the brains of 200 people with severely narrowed neck arteries. The goal is to find better ways to diagnose and treat these patients, who have already had a mini-stroke or stroke. Participants will be followed for one year to see how their brain function changes.
