New imaging tech could predict stroke risk in patients with clogged arteries

Summary

This study is looking at 200 people with severe narrowing in the neck arteries that supply the brain. Researchers will use a special PET/MR scanner to measure blood flow and sugar use in the brain. The goal is to find better ways to diagnose and treat patients at risk for stroke. Participants will be followed for one year with scans and checkups.
