Ultrasound could help tailor Life-Saving ventilator care for critically ill lung patients
NCT ID NCT05492344
Summary
This study aims to see if using a simple lung ultrasound scan to guide personalized ventilator settings can help more patients survive Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), a severe lung condition. Researchers will compare this personalized approach to standard ventilator care in 538 critically ill adults. The main goal is to see if the ultrasound-guided method reduces deaths within 90 days.
