Real-Time lung scans could help save lives from severe breathing failure
NCT ID NCT07309783
Summary
This study is testing whether using a special bedside scanner to personalize ventilator settings can help patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) survive and recover faster. Researchers will compare this personalized approach to standard ventilator care in 574 adult patients across multiple hospitals. The main goal is to see if the personalized method lowers the death rate within 28 days and helps patients spend less time on the breathing machine.
