Scientists test custom brain zaps for Hard-to-Treat depression

NCT ID NCT04040062

Summary

This study is testing a new, personalized approach to brain stimulation therapy for severe depression. Researchers will use brain scans to find the best stimulation frequency for each patient, instead of using the standard one-size-fits-all setting. The goal is to see if this customized method is safe, feasible, and might help patients who haven't gotten better with multiple other treatments like medications and therapy.
