First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at whether helping people with pre-diabetes who sleep less than 6.5 hours a night get more sleep can improve their blood sugar control. About 150 adults wore a glucose monitor and activity tracker, and some received personalized sleep coaching for 8 weeks. The goal was to see if extending sleep reduces the time blood sugar stays too high, which could lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
