New radiation approach aims to zap tough lung tumors more safely

NCT ID NCT06712745

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new way to deliver radiation for hard-to-treat lung tumors located near the heart or major airways. It aims to see if giving fewer, more powerful radiation doses spaced weeks apart, guided by real-time MRI scans, can be safer for patients while still controlling the cancer. The study will enroll about 30 adults with primary or metastatic lung cancer to see if this personalized schedule is practical and effective.
