Scanning for clues: can new imaging tech personalize prostate cancer care?

NCT ID NCT05819606

Summary

This study aimed to see if detailed features from a special type of PET scan (PSMA PET/CT) could help predict how aggressive a man's prostate cancer is. Researchers studied 70 men with intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer who were scheduled for surgery. They compared the scan results with blood tests and the final pathology report after surgery to look for connections that might lead to more tailored treatment plans in the future.
