Personalized math could make blood thinner safer and faster

NCT ID NCT07250763

Summary

This study is testing if a personalized starting dose for the blood thinner heparin works better than the standard one-size-fits-all approach. It involves 145 adults being treated for blood clots or certain heart conditions. Researchers will see if using a formula based on a patient's gender, weight, and kidney function helps get the medication to the right level in the blood faster and more safely.
