New test aims to match brain cancer patients with better drugs

NCT ID NCT06620380

Summary

This study is testing a personalized approach to find better drug treatments for cancer that has spread to the brain (brain metastases). Researchers will take a small sample of a patient's tumor during surgery and quickly test many different drugs on it in the lab to see which ones work best against that specific cancer. The goal is to see if using this test to guide treatment leads to better survival and quality of life compared to standard treatment choices.
