First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether a personalized meal plan (Individualized Dietary Plan) is practical and helpful for adults with type 2 diabetes. 122 participants were randomly assigned to either the personalized diet or standard care. The study measured adherence, blood sugar (HbA1c), and cholesterol after 3 months to see if a larger study is feasible.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that personalized meal plans are practical and help control blood sugar and cholesterol in type 2 diabetes.

What could go wrong

This is a small, completed feasibility study, not a large trial. Results may not apply to all people with diabetes, and adherence to the diet may vary.
