Heated chemo tailored to your cancer cells

NCT ID NCT07291180

Summary

This study is testing a new method to personalize a treatment called heated chemotherapy (HIPEC) for people with advanced appendix or colorectal cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen. Doctors will test a sample of the patient's tumor in a lab to see which chemotherapy drugs work best against it, then use those specific drugs in the heated chemo procedure. The goal is to see if this personalized selection is possible and if it helps control the cancer better than standard treatments.
