Lab-Grown 'Tumor Avatars' guide treatment for tough cancers
NCT ID NCT06077591
Summary
This study is testing a new, personalized approach to find effective treatments for patients with advanced liver or colorectal cancer that has stopped responding to standard therapies. Doctors will grow miniature 3D models of a patient's own tumor in the lab to test how it responds to different drugs. The goal is to use these 'tumor avatars' and genetic analysis to recommend a treatment that is more likely to work for each individual patient.
