Custom cancer vaccine trial aims to stop recurrence
NCT ID NCT06435351
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a personalized vaccine for people with high-risk triple-negative breast cancer who still have cancer cells after standard chemotherapy and surgery. Doctors create a custom vaccine from the patient's own tumor and immune cells, aiming to train the body's defenses to find and attack any remaining cancer. The main goals are to see if making and giving the vaccine is safe and possible, and if it triggers a strong immune response against the cancer.
