Blood test could spare breast cancer patients from harsh chemo
NCT ID NCT07366112
Summary
This study is testing a personalized approach to treat early-stage, hormone-sensitive breast cancer. Before surgery, patients receive a combination of targeted pills instead of standard chemotherapy. Doctors will use a simple blood test to check for cancer DNA. If the blood test is clear after this treatment, patients may be able to skip chemotherapy after surgery, potentially avoiding its difficult side effects.
