UCLA tests 5-Day brain zap to rapidly ease severe depression
NCT ID NCT05645575
Summary
This study is testing a faster, personalized version of a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment for people hospitalized with severe depression. Researchers want to see if they can safely give 25 treatments over just five days, using a person's unique brain rhythm to potentially make the therapy work better. They are enrolling 30 patients who have not gotten better with standard medications or therapy.
