Scientists aim to boost depression treatment by Fine-Tuning brain targets

NCT ID NCT05224063

Summary

This study tested whether customizing where a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment is aimed could make it more effective for depression. Researchers worked with 50 adults diagnosed with major depression, comparing personalized targeting methods against standard approaches during single treatment sessions. The goal was to see if tailoring the treatment to an individual's specific brain network activity leads to stronger and more lasting changes in brain function.
