Scientists test custom brain zaps for Hard-to-Treat depression

NCT ID NCT04040062

Summary

This study is testing a new, personalized method for magnetic brain stimulation to treat severe depression. It aims to see if finding a person's unique 'brain rhythm' for treatment is safe and practical, rather than using a standard one-size-fits-all frequency. The study will involve up to 30 treatment sessions over 6 weeks for adults whose depression has not improved with multiple prior medications and therapy.
