First seen Mar 03, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests a new, personalized brain stimulation technique (HD-tDCS) to reduce chronic pain. 144 adults with long-lasting pain will receive either real or placebo stimulation over five sessions. Researchers will measure pain relief and brain changes using scans and questionnaires. The goal is to see if targeting specific pain-related brain areas can offer a non-drug option for pain management.
