Brain injury breakthrough: tailored care could transform recovery
NCT ID NCT07287358
Summary
This study tests a new personalized approach to managing blood pressure in patients with severe traumatic brain injury. Currently, all patients receive the same fixed blood pressure targets in intensive care. Researchers will use new technology to determine the 'optimal' blood pressure for each individual patient's brain and adjust treatment accordingly. They aim to see if this personalized method reduces signs of ongoing brain damage compared to standard care.
