Lab-Grown 'Mini-Tumors' could guide cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT07379268
Summary
This study is testing a new, personalized method to choose the best drug for patients with advanced bladder cancer that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery. Researchers will grow tiny 3D models of a patient's own tumor in the lab to test which drug it responds to best, and compare the survival of patients treated this way to those treated using the standard method. The goal is to see if this 'avatar' testing leads to better, more targeted treatment and longer survival.
