NCT ID NCT06305078

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This pilot study tested whether personalized medication experiments could help teens with ADHD and their parents make better decisions about future medication use. Thirty-one parent-teen pairs (teens aged 11-15) completed a medication experiment chosen together. The goal was to see if this approach increased teen involvement in decision-making and reduced uncertainty about continuing medication. The study was small and exploratory, so more research is needed.
