Summary
This study looked at 46 people having arm surgery with a nerve block to see if their emotional personality type affected pain and anesthesia success. Researchers found that anxious patients were more likely to need extra sedation or general anesthesia and reported higher pain after surgery. The findings suggest that knowing a patient's temperament beforehand could help doctors personalize anesthesia care for better comfort and safety.
