New disc implant aims to ease back pain without fusion

Summary
This study tests a new device called PerQdisc, which is surgically placed in the spine after removing a damaged disc. It aims to reduce pain and improve function in people with degenerative disc disease. The trial will enroll 72 adults aged 22-70 who have not gotten relief from at least 6 months of non-surgical treatments. Researchers will measure changes in pain, disability, and device safety over time.
