Summary
This study tests whether using a slower breathing rate on ventilators is safe and practical for critically ill patients. About 84 adults in the ICU who need a breathing tube will be randomly assigned to either a standard or a slower, gentler ventilation method. The goal is to see if this approach can be used in a larger trial to potentially improve patient outcomes.
