First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This observational study is following 34 adults who are already receiving a routine perioral rejuvenation procedure using hyaluronic acid fillers. Researchers want to see how many people have at least a 1-point improvement in both lip fullness and wrinkle severity at 12 weeks. They will also measure skin roughness and volume changes at 6 and 12 weeks using specialized imaging and patient satisfaction surveys.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
hyaluronic acid filler with or without lidocaine
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could provide evidence that a holistic approach to perioral rejuvenation improves lip fullness and reduces wrinkles around the mouth.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-center observational study with no control group, so results may not apply to everyone. It only follows participants for 12 weeks, so long-term effects are unknown.
