Summary

This study tested whether non-surgical gum treatment can improve smell and reduce tongue coating in people with periodontitis. 108 non-smoking adults with gum disease had their smell tested before and three days after treatment. The goal was to see if treating the gums leads to short-term improvements in smell and tongue cleanliness.
