First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at two proteins, Dkk-1 and sFRP5, in the fluid around gums to see if they change after non-surgical gum treatment. 99 adults with healthy gums, gingivitis, or periodontitis took part. Researchers measured these proteins before and after treatment to learn more about gum inflammation and bone loss.
