Crown off or on? new study tests better way to treat implant gum disease

Summary
This study looks at whether taking off the artificial tooth (crown) makes non-surgical cleaning more effective for treating peri-implantitis, an infection around dental implants. About 36 adults with one infected implant will be randomly assigned to have cleaning with or without crown removal. Researchers will measure gum pocket depth, bleeding, and bone levels over 12 months to see which approach works better.
