New gum graft aims to save jawbone after tooth extraction

NCT ID NCT06783660

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new material called PeptiCol EZgraft, placed in the tooth socket right after extraction, to help preserve the jawbone for future dental implants. About 114 adults aged 19-75 with healthy gums and at least half the bone wall intact will be randomly assigned to get either the new graft or a standard one (Regenomer). The main goal is to see which better maintains bone width and shape over 4 months, while also checking for side effects like pain or infection.
