Old drug, new hope for arthritis inflammation?

NCT ID NCT06998628

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called pentoxifylline can help control the inflammation and disease activity in people with rheumatoid arthritis. It will involve 50 adults with active rheumatoid arthritis who are already taking standard arthritis medications. Researchers will measure changes in joint swelling, tenderness, and blood markers to see if adding pentoxifylline improves their condition.
