Summary
This study tested a new type of nerve block called PENG to see if it helps people recover better after hip replacement surgery. Sixty adults having hip surgery under spinal anesthesia received either the PENG block or a standard block. The goal was to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers (opioids) while avoiding leg weakness. Results showed the PENG block improved recovery quality and pain control.
