First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a new type of nerve block called the PENG block in 60 adults having hip surgery. The goal was to see if it reduces pain and the need for opioid painkillers after the operation. The block targets nerves around the hip joint while avoiding leg muscle weakness.
