Magnetic fields to ease surgery pain?
NCT ID NCT04109638
Summary
This study is testing whether a device that uses pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) can help reduce pain after knee or shoulder surgery. Researchers will compare the device to a placebo in 76 patients to see if it lowers pain scores and the need for pain medication 10 days after surgery. The goal is to find a non-drug option for managing post-operative pain.
