First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy can reduce pain and improve quality of life in women with endometriosis. Sixty women aged 18–45 will receive either real PEMF or a sham device three times a week for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure pain, pelvic floor changes, and well-being at the end of treatment and again after 3 months.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) device
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a non-drug, non-surgical option to reduce pain and improve daily life for women with endometriosis.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with only 60 participants. The therapy may not prove better than a sham device, and results may not apply to all endometriosis patients.
