New hope for chronic bladder pain? device trial seeks relief without drugs

NCT ID NCT05149573

Summary

This study is testing whether a safe, non-invasive device that uses pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) can reduce pelvic pain and urinary symptoms in women with interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS). Researchers will give the device to 75 participants to use at home and track their pain levels and symptoms over 16 weeks. The goal is to see if this non-drug therapy can provide lasting relief for this challenging chronic condition.
